    About Tammie

    Tammie Maitlin, LSW

    Tammie Maitlin obtained her masters degree in Social Work from NYU Silver School. She has nearly a decade of clinical experience working with a wide range of clinical populations. She spent years working in nursing homes and hospices, bringing immense compassion and thoughtful care to elderly patients and their families. As a result Tammie understand the trauma of grief and loss and helps her clients navigate through their grief.

     

    In addition, Tammie has worked in private practice setting, treating couples and adolescents. Tammie is known for her non-judgmental demeanor and individualized approaches with each patient. Based on each individual’s needs, she incorporates treatment methodologies including interpersonal therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy as well as a psychodynamic orientation. Tammie is experienced in treating anxiety and depression and is dedicated to providing holistic care to each client by taking into account family dynamics, attachment styles, sexual orientation, and physical health.

     

    Over the past 13 years, Tammie has built a flourishing business and has grown as an entrepreneur and business manager. Running a business with over 700 children and families as clients, Tammie is responsible, organized, and thoughtful with her team of coaches and extensive clientele. She is immersed in the northern New Jersey community and in touch with the daily life stressors of academics, extracurriculars, and family life, through her extensive independent business.

     

     

    Tammie is currently working toward her Clinical Social work licensure (LCSW). Services provided by her are under clinical supervision with a qualified clinical supervisor in accordance with New Jersey law.
